Project HealthDesign is supported by RWJF’s Pioneer Portfolio, which supports innovative ideas that can lead to fundamental breakthroughs in health and health care. Similar to R&D investments in the for-profit sector, the projects in the Pioneer Portfolio are future-oriented and often look to nontraditional sources and fields to make significant improvements in health.
California HealthCare Foundation
 The California HealthCare Foundation, based in Oakland, is an independent philanthropy committed to improving the delivery and financing of health care in California. Formed in 1996, its goal is to ensure that all Californians have access to affordable, quality health care.
