Kudos to Helen Pfister and Susan Ingargiola of Manatt Health Solutions for their enlightening article, published by iHealthBeat on December 11, about inclusion of Patient-Generated data in the proposed Stage 3 Meaningful Use criteria. The article describes Project HealthDesign’s role in making this policy enhancement a real possibility.
Project HealthDesign has long advocated for including patient voices in the clinical conversation. Director Patti Brennan testified before the Health IT Policy Committee in June 2012 – and we plan to submit detailed comments to HITPC on this latest set of criteria.
