Mobile Device Privacy and Security Issues Webinar

On January 26, 2011, Project HealthDesign’s regulatory and assurance advisors at the Center for Democracy & Technology and Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP, conducted a webinar to inform and engage our project teams around a policy topic relevant to each of the teams’ experiences. The first in a series of discussions intended to shape and inform an upcoming policy issues paper, this webinar addressed “HIPAA Security Rule Compliance When Communicating with Patients Using Mobile Devices.”

We believe the recommendations found in this presentation will be helpful to anyone seeking to address issues related to patient privacy and the security of patient health data.
